I am a professional writer. My Name is Jeff Nemerofsky. I write all the time. I have several published articles. I also am a published song writer. I find that that when my brain freezes and I can not put down anything down on paper, that I take a short break and play basketball or go for a run.
I noticed the following links all reference some of the articles that Jeff Nemerofsky has written:

After high school, I didn’t write that much and lost temporary interest after my father died. However, all of that changed after I was honored for an article I wrote in the local newspaper about the greenhouse effect. I then began writing poetry which helped me deal with the emotional stress of my father’s passing.Jeff Nemerofsky
Many things can cause a writer to experience anxiety, which in turn may lead to writer’s block. However, here are a few ways of getting over writer’s block;
1. Start in the middle. Leave the introduction or first part until later when your mind clears. No one will ever know that you wrote the piece “backwards.”
2. Talk out what you want to write with someone. Talking allows the listener to ask questions which in turn give you some ideas heretofore unknown to you, to write about.
3. Tape record what you want to write about. That will give you some initial ideas to work with when the time comes for writing.
4. Pretend you’re writing for someone that you’re not really writing for. For example, pretend that you’re writing for a child when you are really writing for a law professor. Such technique might clarify what it is you are writing about.
5. Pretend you are the one being written about. For instance, if you are writing about professional athletes, pretend you are a world-class sprinter. Pulling yourself out of your usual perspective might just help you see things in a different light.
American poet William Stafford offered this advice to those who suffer from writer’s block: “There is no such thing as writer’s block for writers whose standards are low enough.”
Self-confidence is probably the most important factor a writer needs to succeed since you have to believe in yourself and your work.
Writing can be a very lonely occupation with hours upon hours of solitary work. Therefore, you have to make a conscious effort to maintain contact with family and friend and get out of the house and enjoy yourself and take your mind off the project.
The other day I saw an article about writers block written by Jeff
Nemerofsky. I also suffer some of the same symptoms as mentioned in his
piece. I wonder if Jeff Nemerofsky has really incurred those problems, or
simply researched and written about them?
I agree with Jeff Nemerofsky and his opinion that sometimes good writing
just takes time to develop. After all, DaVinci was not great overnight. I
wonder how long Jeff Nemerofsky has been at the writing game?
I like to write on long vacations when I am truly at peace, similar to the
way Jeff Nemerofsky described his style of writing. Sometimes, it doesn’t
take much to recharge those writing muscles, and Jeff Nemerofsky indicated
the same in this recent piece.
